Who? What? How? I am so confused on how anyone would like their pizza here. This restaurant was right by our hotel so we jumped on Yelp and decided it would be a good spot to have some beer and pizza. After looking over the menu we ordered out of the Pizza Flat section. This included the Artichoke, Roasted Peppers, & Pecorino Flatbread and the Skirt Steak Flat. I am not sure if it was because we ordered from the Flatbread section instead of getting a Pizza but both of the crusts were beyond belief. Soggy- Wet- Flavorless are all words to describe this ridiculous crust! It wasn't even cooked all the way through and all the toppings just kept weighing down the pizza to the point you couldn't even hold it up without holding the whole pizza slice with two hands. The flavor of both wasn't much at all but I will say the Skirt Steak was better than the Artichoke Flat. Our bartender started out great until she started talking to her friend/coworker that was also sitting at the bar about things customers should not be listening to and ignoring us afterwards. Which lead us to just wanting to get out of this restaurant as quick as we could. An unwelcoming and horrible dining experience that won't happen again.

I have to update my review. I have now been to Nick's, no less than 4 times, mainly b/c it's right by Cigar Bar and after one has a few cocktails, one wants Italian food. one=me PS. While I still feel they are WAY too expensive for lunch, they are right on target for dinner time. I have taken numerous pix so go take a look. We typically sit outside, share a pasta or a pizza and a salad. It's great, service has really picked up as well. So this place gets a thumbs up from me for DINNER, lunch they still need to work on pricing.

I have been here many times, many times but today our service is very lacking. Lacing to the point of beyond poor. As a party of three sitting at the bar we asked for two menusI order food. The bartender dropped off one. Then one person in the party ordered and the bartender left. We had to call her back to order for the other two. Yes as you can expect after the second person ordered she left again. Not giving the third person in the party time to order. It's okay I'll spend and tip elsewhere. Not to mention the burnt crust So when I leave you the 10% or less tip. It wasn't about me being cheap but you not providing service. If you think you were too busy the. Add employees.

We have eaten here many times and always thoroughly enjoy the food and service - however on our last visit which was a Sunday after we gave our server our order we ended up waiting twenty minutes for our Caesar salad, And everything else came out equally as slow - we ordered a pizza and a hero sandwich - the pizza came out before the hero sandwich. The servers seemed more interested in each other then the customers. I was very disappointed because I was hungry and looking forward to the great food and fast service. I hope it was just an off night, we will go back again hoping service will be better.

Good value with kids. Pizzas are large and the sauce is sweet, and they give a fair amount of cheese. Toppings are fresh. We were told by our waiter (3 visits) that they couldn't do a pitcher with kids so that was disappointing. Pizza crust itself is crunchy and 2/3 times we visited the bottom was black... A nice wood fired pizza is the best- but not if you're stuck picking off pieces of charred dough. They carry a nice selection of wines- which is good for washing down blackened pizza. Will try again once more- perhaps the pizzas we got were by a new/inexperienced pizza maker.

By far, the best pizza around. In fact, everything on their menu is delicious. The staff is always friendly and the drinks are well priced. There can be a bit of a wait, but it's worth it. The pizzas are huge, and the steak sandwich is amazing!

Tried a take out pizza tonight. Very disappointed. I called ahead, was told 15 minutes, that was good. It was 9:00, late but not closing time late. I got a big box taped shut, nice touch. I even gave the bartender a tip for taking my money so nicely. Got home less than 10 minutes, the pie was cold and very salty. Like salt was added to the top. The family was not happy with my choice. Don't think I'll go back.

It's true what they say about Nicks NewHaven Pizza, must have in Boca, best compliment I can say is " I forgot I was eating pizza in Florida,"crust is exceptional and our server was on the money, make sure you are served by the best!! Nicky is a great ambassador for the establishment Happy hour4-7 great value!! Will be back

I live outside of New Haven CT, so I know all about New Haven pizza.... This place is very close to Modern Pizza, which means...it's fantastic! Super thin crust, charcoaled flavor. Great friendly service too...

Been wanting to go to Dennino's in Staten Island for oh so long and imagine this appiz or bar pie is similar. 12 inch with hot cherry peppers cooked in a burning hot coal fired oven. They were out of the clam chowder so I just had the pizza and I ate the whole pie- crispy, spicy, well done. I loved this pizza so much I couldn't stop eating it. There was something very authentic about this pie! Nick's rocks!

I would definitley go back for the pizza, and would like to try some of the entrees, but there were a few issues I had. First, it was a cool night, and I really don't think they needed to have the big window open by the bar. The chill was obvious, but people are also smoking outside, and if I am not mistaken this may be in violation of the no smoking ban. Food and tobacco smoke do not go together. The beer I had at the bar was good anbd it was cold and served well by the personable bartenders, but the selection is rather poor. Many restaurants don't seem to get the fact that beer is a big deal now, especially American brews made everywhere. Even Publix has gotten in on the trend. The bathrooms are slighly inadequate for the size of the restaurant. I wonder how that passed inspection???? I hope that with a few minor changes, Nick's will be around for awhile. Good abeets!

Excellent pizza have to try the white clam. A small pizza can feed two or maybe three depending on how hungry you are. It does get busy but they have a great inside/outside bar to have a drink while you wait.

Being from the New Haven area I was very excited to see a "New Haven Style" pie shop around. OK, first the good news - the pies are very close to Pepe's which means superb. If you're going to complain that the crust is burned GO SOMEWHERE ELSE - it's supposed to be! The ingredients are also very good, but they slice their onions instead of chop as they should (you guys ever been to PEPE's?), and sometimes they don't want to make what you want. One of the special pies at Pep's is a white pie with spinach, mushroom and gorgonzola - a starter pie made in heaven. I asked for that once and was told that they won't make it - HUH? Service is good, not great, but I really DO NOT like the open bar window and the smokers there. More than once I've gotten a strong whiff of smoke. If you want to kill yourself, go somewhere else please. The bad part is the pricing. a large pie with a beer and glass of wine is a solid $35. C'mon guys, I know you're in Boca, but more than once I've stayed away in principal to such extraordinary prices. Sometimes a SO gets something else, and the Calzone's are fine, but they charged extra for enough sauce to be viable - really? With the prices you guys charge? Overall one of the (much) better pizza joints in Boca. If you're going to complain that it doesn't have a 2 inch thick crust, of that they burn the edges, do us all a favor and go somewhere else. Also, they have Foxon Park soda (from East Haven, CT) - the ginger Ale is the best ever. Try it.

I shared the cappellini four cheese sauce angel hair pasta and a cheese pizza with my husband. We were going to order a large pizza until our server told us that the pizzas are super big and we probably wouldn't be able to finish the medium. He was right. We ordered the medium and ended up talking half of it home. My husband and I had a difference of opinion about the food. He thought it was wonderful. He loved the cappellini pasta. I thought it was just okay. My husband loved the pizza, especially the thin crust. I thought the pizza was good, but I would have liked more cheese. The service was very good. Our server was friendly and went out of his way to be helpful. My only complaint is that I had to ask for bread to go with the pasta. Our server probably thought that we didn't want bread, since we got the pizza. The manager came by several times to check on us. I'd like to give this place another try. Next time, I'll order a different entree and maybe get extra cheese on the pizza.

OMG! It happened again....THEY CHANGED MY TIP. I waited nearly a year to return to this restaurant as I was so upset by the fact they kept changing tips in 2014. This time I left a $9 tip (~15%) and they changed it to $13. This is down right STEALING. I called and spoke with a manager today and the said it must be a mistake. A mistake? How is $9 mixed up with $13?? So, I called MasterCard directly and again, they stood behind me and reversed the charges. It is not the $4, it is the fact that this restaurant is STEALING from it's customers. Besides that, the pizza was bland at best. Try Sicilian Oven. Their pizza is delicious and they don't steal from their customers.

Lots of things I love about Nick's after my first visit. First of all, it is in the middle of a busy plaza in Boca but still was not overly busy. It is in the same plaza as La Spada, Moe's, Shanes Ribs... I loved the outdoor side tables and the outdoor bar. It is open and airy. The bar is in the middle of the outdoor area with the other half of the seats indoors - so you can choose on your mood which way to go! The service was great. John was a nice service and attentive and we had a couple people come by regularly to check on us. We went for lunch and had the apple walnut salad which was realllllllly good, and two medium pizzas including cheese and meatball. I really liked the thin crust New York style pizza - but I am not a huge fan of coal fired (just not my thing). You can see the kitchen and watch the pizza making. They also have a flat screen where we watched part of the World Cup. I would definitely go again and see if we can sit outside with our little dogs. I would try the pasta next. The menu has several selections including a good salad menu and flatbreads along with Pizzas, Subs, Calzones, pasta and the usual Italian fare. Oh and remember to look up at some of the old time American Advertisements - they are pretty funny and entertaining.

My first time here, I ordered steak & cheese grinder (sub) I asked to substitute the American cheese for any other kind, he said, yes but there's a up charge of $2!!!! To substitute cheese?!! I'm not asking for brie, I just asked for swiss or provolone. 0h and don't expect frenchfries when ordering the fresh cut parm fries, they are just potato chips and they are burned!! Not very tasty. Everything including their aoli was bland. My bf had the chicken parm sandwich, also not very good. I gave it 1 star because the steak wasn't shaved, it was skirt steak. Even though it had no flavor.

Decent pizza, just a bit burnt on the crust. I guess it's the style, but it tasted good. The server was ok. Nice dining area inside. The pizza was pricey. $21 for large pizza.

Decided to give Nick's a try when a friend recommended them. We were seated promptly even though the place was bustling on a Friday night. We decided to start with the rice balls to see if they could compare to my bf old family recipe. Sadly they could not. Although they were nice and creamy they were lacking in seasoning. Next up was the clam chowder which was delicious. I had never had one with a clear broth and not only did it taste fantastic but it was nice and light unlike the typical New England chowder, which sometimes leaves you too full to enjoy your meal. Next up was the fried calamari. The calamari itself was crispy and not at all greasy however once again it seemed to be lacking in seasoning. The accompanying sauce did have nice flavor though. On to the main event, the pizza....as advertised it was extremely thin. They do advise it will be well done and they were not kidding. It had great flavor and the touch of char didn't bother me although my fellow diners thought it was too well done. I would definitely return to sample another pizza as well as some of the other menu items.

My first visit my wife had the calamari salad and I had their new haven style pizza, she enjoyed her meal and I thought the pizza was just okay, not worth a selective eatery. Our second encounter was our breaking point, my wife had the same meal but it was mostly oil, just like her food my clams in white sauce was horrific. I can't explain why the food came out this way since it was about 3 pm and my only explanation was the chef was inexperienced or lazy. Our server was nice but not really interested never mentioning any specials. The restaurant has ample parking and easy accessible. Actually in that area you have plenty of other places pick any of them or go to Atlantic av in Delray.

Best pizza in florida. This is NEW HAVEN style pizza. Best type of pizza in my opinion. Coal fired, well done, lovely coal on the bottom and crispy. I lived in new haven for many years. Granted this isn't pepes or Sally's it's the closest thing you can get in south Florida to real pizza!

Yesterday, I decided that I needed to get out of the office for lunch. In my social newsfeed was an article from Broward-Palm Beach New Times about top pizza places in Broward-Palm Beach. Well, this location was on the list and located near the office. I decided to check it out. The place was not too busy, but I still decided to sit at the bar. For lunch, I ordered the small cheese pizza. For dessert, I ordered the tiramisu. Since I am a big eater, I am not embarrassed to say I ate EVERYTHING. The pizza was amazing. It was not too greasy with an amazing flavor. A man came out to serve it to me at the bar. He placed everything down and offered to place the first piece on my plate. I just love and appreciate good customer service. The tiramisu is a more pale color than I am used to seeing, but it did not throw me off. In fact, I gobbled it down in minutes. I definitely recommend this for a dessert when visiting. Overall, the experience here was great and the food was even better. I am really happy to have found this place and will definitely be back soon!

Pizza is like a three legged stool. Dough, sauce and toppings. If one of the legs is shorter than the other, it's a second rate pizza. Nicks scores very highly on all three and it's cooked at an ultra high temperature. It's actually hard to imagine a better pizza. Interior design is excellent. It's comfortable and elegant. I have been several times and will keep coming.

Went here last night.... Pizza was HUGE (Large) thin crust and delicious with toppings. The manager Ryan came over to make sure we our food came out correctly and introduced himself. I came here to visit from New York and I was blown away with our waiter and the manager. The place is very clean. Right on!

We were a party of nine. All nine, ranging in age from 8-88, LOVED our meal! We had pizza , house salad (amazing house dressing) and one family member ordered chicken parm and garlic bread. Again , everyone loved everything !! Great service too! Most of us live right next door to New Haven, so our expectations were high. Definitely a new family favorite.

Been driving by the Coral Springs location every day for months waiting for it to open. Today was the second day it was opened and I wanted to go yesterday but life made me wait until today. Before I talk about the negative, let me say that the traditional pepperoni and meatball apizza was the best pie I have ever had. My wife agreed, hands down fantastic!! That being said... this is a New Haven joint so it's supposed to be about the clams. I ordered the linguine and clams... Ughh. Gritty, sandy, flavorless. Hate to say it but the linguine and clams at the Rustic Inn run circles of flavor around these, despite the fact that you don't get any clams in the shell at Rustic Inn. The hand-cut Parmesan fries? I ordered these because I took my 2 yr kid and he is a fry connoisseur. Well, FYI... These aren't fries, they are chips. (My kid also loves chips) They had a bitter burnt garlic flavor, with half-melted flavorless supposed shreds of Parmesan and a flavorless aioli dipping sauce. They were completely awful. All four of us at the table heroically tried to eat them but we couldn't find any reason tinkers trying and my son just spit them out and threw them on the floor. Our waitress graciously offered to take them off our bill but it wasn't her fault that they weren't at all what I expected. If you want FANTASTIC Parmesan fries, try Hurricane Wings and Grill, these are absolutely horrible. So... Service was good, traditional apizza was fantastic, the rest was pretty regrettable. Will definitely return for pizza and since this a new location, will give other items a try, but very disappointing that a New Haven place has such disappointing clams.

service with a smile or attitude? yes, all of the above. I have eaten at both boca and coral springs and both places burn the bottom of the pizza. but you'll get a snide reply that 'they don't consider the pizza burnt' if you complain. thank you nicks!!!! maybe your ovens are too hot because the pies tasted like burnt pizza, they were burnt, and your wait staff's tone is burnt out. buh-bye

Wow! This location (CORAL SPRINGS, FL) just opened 2 days ago...it was great!! Much more than just great pizza though! Had the White: Clam, bacon & garlic pizza...so thin & crispy, yet chewy;) deelish!! Had a bite of Broccoli Rabe & Sausage appetizer- awesome too!! generous portions!! Great service! I'll be back!!

This place for lunch is great! Service is very good and the food is served fresh. The Apple Gorgonzola salad is delicious. Spinach Gnocchi with Cajun was also delicious. Rigatoni pasta is great if you like lots of meat and sauce, and the chicken Milanese isn't too bad. Just a few dishes I have tried. Happy hours are 3-6 on Fridays, 12-5 on Sundays.. Can't be mad at that! Nikki at the bar is super sweet and she's an attentive bartender. Say hi to her from Falon. Enjoy!

Great atmosphere. The service was good -- I noticed that they move fast (busy work) to get back to their central station and do not check spend the time walking around their area to ensure their are no additional requests. I know it well is all I will say. The flats pizza was great tasting and tasty crust (not the burnt taste from typical coal fire pizza). We had the arugula salad with calamari steak -- AWESOME! I little too much dressing but I will remember to tell them to lighten it up. The Orcchietta pasta from the mouth of a restaurant owner had sauce that was just right (not watery) and it had a touch of hot cherry peppers that he said were different and added great taste to the dish. Pizza is not a food I crave. I hope they consider gluten free options (pizza and pasta). Good job!

After reading the reviews on Yelp I was very apprehensive to say the least when my family informed me that we would be going to Nick's for a large family lunch. My daughter and I were down in Florida visiting and it is very tough to get everyone together at the same time. We were able to set a Sunday at 1:00PM lunch reservation for a party of 12 and we had a nice long table over by the pizza ovens and were attended to by a server rather quickly. He told the drink orders for all of the members of the table and was back in a reasonable amount of time with the correct items. The restaurant has a full bar and a decent amount of beers on tap as well as sodas and bottled water. We ordered three large pizzas and they were LARGE. We got one plain cheese pizza, on pepperoni pizza and one clam pizza.... Yes, clam pizza. I didn't venture down this road as the combo just doesn't sound correct to me but this was the first of the pizzas to be finished at the table. All in all I think that this was a decent place and I would consider coming back in a large group setting.....

The most expensive and worst pizza we have ever had. We ordered one medium and one large and it was $61.00. Burnt on top and not cooked all the way. A big soggy mess. If it would have been the best pizza we ever ate in our life...could maybe justify the ridiculous price. Left us feeling stupid for paying that much for pizza

What can I say, I'm from Connecticut, and always loved Pepes. Its like a modern Pepes, with more class, better service, and better food. Any its not cash only. Anyways, for those who are clueless from what I just said, this is the place to go if you like coal fired pizza. Forget Anthonys, Tuccis, and the others. This place is huge, plenty of seating, great appetizers, sandwiches, and pizza. Also their deserts are to die for, but only if you have room. Love the burnt crust pizza!

New Haven style pizza might be... /might/ be the next step on the pizza evolutionary path. New Haven style for the uninitiated is a cross between NY style and Nepolitana. The crust is pretty thin and crispy but still has a great chew. Also the classic pizzas have NO CHEESE. My crew wasn't ready for that but we did have a big cheese pizza with half anchovies and half mushrooms. The anchovies were really good and not funny tasting like lots of places. The crust was amazing and a little burnt. Just the way I like it. It's baked in an intense wood fired oven. The restaurant is a little higher end; definitely Boca. It's a loud place with good energy. Great for both families and young singles as well.

Ordered a slew of take out; namely their famous white clam pizza. The odor from the clams was horrific. We also ordered a veggie bomb. The veggies tasted like low quality produce you'd get at a Subway. Extremely bad tasting pizza from a place that touts itself as famous New Haven. It should be a crime. Ownership, please make changes. If you don't, I can assure you it won't have longevity in that gorgeous space you built out.

Real East coast pizza in South Florida. We ordered an extra large and the pizza is huge! Not that we didn't devour the whole thing. Thin crust and burnt a bit too much on the bottom but no complaints. The sauce was fresh, the cheese was fantastic and the crust was perfect. We also sampled: - the caesar salad, which was crunchy and good. Portion size is good for 3-4 people. -a pasta dish (orechetti with broccoli rabe and sausage) which was large and cooked to perfection -Chicken arribiata- boneless pounded chicken breasts in a spicy red sauce. Chicken was moist and tasted great. Large portion for 2-3 people when you mix it up with the pizza. Great concept. Nice environment with televisions, music and a good vibe. Service was friendly and efficient. Reasonably priced wine by the bottle or glass.

Denied on the Snarkfest. Being a New Haven area transplant I was teeing up all the snarky comments about this place: "misappropriation of the "New Haven" name," etc.... I WAS WRONG. This pizza would compare favorably to all of the well known New Haven pizzarias: Pepe's, Sally's, Modern and Roseland (Derby, CT). The pizza style is more like Modern and Roseland rather than Pepe's. They still have the Foxon park, whose distribution radius is about 10 miles around New Haven and then 1,500 miles south in Boca! A high recommendation, particularly for the South Florida area with not a lot of great pizza options.

I was really hoping this place would be good because I am from New Haven and really miss the pizza there. First of all I think it's funny that this style of pizza is a novelty, like it's a new way to cook pizza, duh tastes better than an electric oven. That being said this place tastes nothing like New Haven style ( Pepes, Modern, Sallys). Crust is way too thick, and sauce is bland.. Better choice is Anthony's or if you are ever in South Beach, try Spris.

In a word... BURNT. I'm a New Yorker originally and I also have eaten in many brick oven pizzerias, this one I'm sorry to say was not good. It was overdone. Overdone thinness , you couldn't even pick it up and hold it without it drooping in half and having the cheese slide off . Overdone cooked wise, it was burnt plain and simple. We were a big group and so we ordered quite a few pies and they were all burnt. Sorry but there are many other better options in this town.

First good pizza (appizza) south of Connecticut As a longtime New Haven area resident, longing for good pizza when we travel, we have finally found real New Haven style pizza here in south Florida. If you like thin crust pizza, this is the real McCoy. Worth the extra cost. Paul K

Instead of wasting their money on sodas for decoration, they need to buy dictionaries. They have this strange idea that when you buy a pizza, it doesn't include cheese. Had a 5 minute argument with the waiter on the definition of pizza because of my 3 dollar "+ Cheese" surcharge. Next time I'll be sure to get my complete pizza (bread, sauce, cheese) elsewhere.

This is thin crust pizza at its' best. There is a great selection of pizzas or you can create your own. Prices are reasonable. Service is fair - be prepared to wait for a server to attend to your table. It's a bit noisy, but that's part of the ambiance.

LOVE the Vegi Bomb pizza! The crust is perfectly crispy, with just the right amount of coal fired sear to it. Leaded with lots of great veggies and not too much cheese or sauce. Add a little pepperoni and everyone's happy. Our favorite pizza joint and the prices are more reasonable then Tucci's. for Boca, it's a good deal!

I went last night for the 1st time with a localdines.com coupon to check it out. I saw allot OK mixed reviews. I am a BIG Pizza fan, and I've tried most every place, including ones that are rated on worstpizza.com . I was skeptical at best about this place. We sat at the outside bar. The blond snot-nosed bartender was not nice, poor service, but we were there. The crowd was WAY TO Boca for me, but we decided to stay. After we ordered drinks, we heard that they had a Happy Hour deal, but bartender never told us, and are Absolute and Cran were not covered on the 2 for 1, only the Svedka Vodka, so we ordered them next, but that Vodka is horrible. OK, now to our food. We ordered a Caesar Salad and a medium Pizza (which was huge!) The large that I saw came out for somebody else was the biggest around town by far. The Pizza was actually pretty darn good. Thin crispy crush, just slightly burnt, which I personally like. They could have put a little more cheese and sauce, but all in all I liked it. The Caesar salad was fair at best. I wouldn't rush back there to dine-in, but would buy a Pizza for take-out. The Boca crowd was a HUGE turn off to me.

The Pizza Bloggers and the boys at WorstPizza.com have it correct. If you consider DeLorenzo"s of Trenton to be one of the best pies in the country, then this is a 9/10. DeLorenzo's, a multi-generational family, making great pies, has been loved and respected by all political parties. Both Jon Steward (Dem. "The Daily Show") and Gov. Chris Christie (Rep.) have eaten there. It is an extremely humble shop. This pie is ultra thin and nicely charred and the sauce has a nice bit of garlic. Similar in that regard. Making a Northeast pie in Boca is hard, this restaurant is slightly upscale, and trying to please an audience that is, well, Boca Raton. A hard job. Boca Raton doesn't really know, pizza, or respected pizza experts. To survive, they have to appeal to Boca, which is unfortunate, but for Pizza fans they have brought the best of a DeLorenzo's pie to South Florida. That is not a knock in any way to,Tucci's, which I also consider one of the best pies available, and has an equal rating, if not higher due to the high quality of their cheese, and for their absolutely exceptional and uncrompromising attention to their tomato pies. They are charting ther own path, just like here.

Horrible, sat at the bar and watched guy next to me who ordered at the same time, almost finish, and my to go pizza wasn't ready.. Thank God I had enough and left. You should never go to a place with horrible service, after all it costs to eat out, inexcusable

Have eaten here about 7 times over the last 5 months. Usually stick to the pizza, but have also tried some of the sandwiches. The pizza has always been very good. It is a very thin crust which is cooked very well done. Sometimes there is some inconsistency with how well done the crust is, as it has been somewhat less well done on 2 occasions, but this hasn't affected the quality of the pizza. If it is less well done, the crust doesn't hold up as well when you pick up the slice. This also isn't the best pizza for take out. Since the crust is so thin, it will get soggy in the box on the way home. The best way is to eat at the restaurant fresh from the oven. The sandwiches are a mixed bag. The prosciutto sandwich was just ok, the taste was a little bland. The veggie wrap was very bland. The cheese steak was a very large portion and was good but a little bit too greasy. The side chips are good, they are homemade with fresh grated parmigiana cheese. I would suggest sticking with the pizza as that is what they do best here.

Overpriced and mediocre.....Tried the calamari. Absolutely the worst I've had. Tasteless and poorly breaded. The customer in the next booth had pizza that was so burned that they called the manager over.

Asked for a lightly cooked pizza and it was completely black on the bottom and tasted like burnt ashes. Yuck!

What a nice change for lunch. A group of five of us dined here yesterday for a lunch outing and were not disappointed. Yeah, I know it's basically a pizza place, but their menu is HUGE! They offer so much more than pizza -- pastas, flatbreads, salads, sandwiches, wraps, paninis -- I know I'm missing some. Gotta love the coal fired flavor, so I ordered the Carmelized Onion, Gorgonzola & Thyme flatbread, drizzled with balsamic. Good stuff. The portion was pretty big for lunch, and in fact, my co-workers' portions were quite large as well, more like dinner size. I loved the flatbread, and got my remaining 3 pieces to go. I'll add this to my list of go-to lunch spots when I have some extra cash. The only downside is that they didn't have any cheap lunch specials. Not a big deal, but it just means I won't come here as often as other Italian joints. Will try for dinner next time!

Recently ordered take out from them- late, cold, burnt. Gave them a second chance and I totally regret it. Staff & manager are rude as well. Won't last long.

The white cheese pizza with garlic, oil, mushrooms and anchovies was yummy. The crust was very thin but the pizza was very flavorful. The house salad was delicious and the creamy Italian dressing was exceptional. Service was very good and the manager stopped by to see how things were going. Looking forward to coming back and trying other dishes. Highly recommend it.

Had an unhappy Happy Hour here today. Three of us had some personal business to discuss so we grabbed a booth in the bar area and found out the 2 for 1 drink prices only applied to seats at the bar. Six feet away was out of luck. Pretty restrictive policy compared to most places around. Asked if we could order at the bar and return to the booth so we could sit and discuss things...not Nick's policy. Summoned the youthful manager who blankly confirmed he had to answer to his boss and there was nothing he could do. So we ordered a pizza and paid full price for one round of drinks. But there is something the three of us can, and will do...not return to Nicks. Irritating rules and inflexible policies do not make for good business. The many empty booths and seats around the bar offered good likely proof of that.

2 1/2 stars. First this place should be called Nicks's Ash - style pizza because that was basically my topping on it. I understand the coal fired pizza thing. Besides that it was pretty good! Salad average! I will try them again and tell them no ash, thanks!

Nick's is an upscale pizza joint with a great variety of beers and wine on the drink menu. After living in New Haven for one year, I can truly say that Nick's pizza is up there with the best of them. The 16 inch pizza was more than enough for two with about a quarter left over. We got a meatball and eggplant pie and it was delicious - thin slightly charred delicious crust with just enough cheese and toppings. The waitstaff was great and responsive. If you like pizza and a nice clean modern environment, this is a great place to go.

The food is always on point. Pizza is the best I've had in Florida and you can't beat Foxon Park sodas. Fast friendly service from a very knowledgable staff. Don't wait... Go eat there now!!

This place is the best in Florida. It is as good or better then Pepe's/Sallys or my favorite New Haven CT pizza. Modern Pizza. GO for it. The other dishes look great as well.

Service: When we sat at a dirt table the person that cleaned it off left it wet, not too appealing. our server was good. Simona was friendly and was always smiling. One issue was I asked 4 different people to change the station on the TV to watch Wimbledon but never got changed. Food: Arugula salad came out quickly amd was good. Our pizzas took way to come out. The clam pizza was a little above room temperature and barely had any toppoings. The veg was hotter but was obvious that it sat also. This was made obvious when the table next to us had their pizza come out in half the time and it was steaming hot when the server sliced it. I should have sent the clam pizza back but I didn't really feel like waiting any longer. The cannoli birthday desert was good and came out fast. All in all this was a very disappointing experience especially considering the price. Simona did attempt to rectify my disappointment when I told her on the way out.

Went for lunch. Three of us shared a medium pizza and the other had a steak sandwich. Interior is beautiful but very cold. Had to ask to change tables. Water promptly served. and orders taken. Took quite a while for the pizza to arrive. Very excited because never had New Haven style before. Well, I do not like this style if this is representative. It is very, very thin yet "floppy." Seems to me that if it is so thin it should not be floppy. Very little cheese on it and not crazy about the sauce. The eggplant topping was fine. Other diner gave the steak sandwich 4 stars. I dropped total rating down to 3 because we had to correct the bill. We were double charged for one item. No problem correcting with waiter. Probably won't return simply because I don't care for the crust.

I was really not impressed with this place at all. I went with my family last month and we're New Yorkers so we have high standards for pizza but this was a little ridiculous. Every bite of pizza I had tasted like charcoal. And the service was slower than anything. I understand they were very crowded but the place is small enough that that should never be a problem. My poor grandmother ordered a pizza to be made light and had to wait over an hour to get it. The place is also very tight space wise. Wouldn't suggest going here. If you're looking for pizza in boca look elsewhere.

UPDATED REVIEW: Let me start by saying that the pizza was delicious. Let me continue by saying our server was like a used-car sales(wo)man. Trying her hardest to up-sell to the more expensive option over everything we actually wanted. Examples are as follows: 1. We wanted a plain cheese pie - she said that we should add bacon on it. we said no thanks. she said are you sure? bacon is great on it. we said no thank you. she said really? everyone loves bacon. we politely smiled and she walked away. 2. our salad came out quickly followed by our pizza, and along with the pizza came the dessert menu. She pointed at the dessert menu and said to keep room for the gelato. we smiled and she walked away. she came back 5 minutes later to ask if we had a chance to review the dessert menu. we were still eating our first slice of pizza. we smiled and said no politely. she came back 10 minutes later, asked how things were, and as we said all was good, she pointed at the dessert menu again and said "I have to sell one dessert each night, and if I don't do it I get beaten..." Completely unappetizing conversation and the pressure of ordering a dessert made the pizza taste worse. we politely moved the dessert menu away from the edge of the table, and when she came back she asked where the menu had gone. She was completely over the top with the sales, and completely took away from the experience. Out of respect for my buddy who I was with, I didn't say anything to the Manager, but it was definitely a distasteful display of service. This particular server needs better training or maybe needs to work in the back far away from restaurant guests.

Went there for the first day. If you like your pizza with cigarette smoke this is your place. Pizza is burnt, cigarette smoke and bugs are flying everywhere and this will be the most expensive pizza you ever eat. Great, another lousy restaurant comes to Coral Springs. I guess they are trying to outdo BJs as the worst restaurant in Coral Springs. I have to say I was appalled when I told the manager I was a breast cancer survivor and I didn't want to eat my dinner while inhaling cigarette smoke and his comment was "it is unfortunate." Really? Well I will make sure that everyone I know understands your restaurant sucks. And tomorrow I will call the City of Coral Springs because I am pretty sure you can't have the whole restaurant as "smoking." Idiot.

I was born and raised in new haven so it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to pizza. This is as close to new haven pizza as you get in boca. However the crust is just not as crunchy and flavorful and the ovens just don't give the same flavor. White clam was disappointing . Clams tasted canned not fresh and crust underneath got soggy. Plain cheese and pepperoni pizzas were excellent. Great caeser. Nice big booths. Music a bit loud in some places for any conversation, which is annoying. The service is hit or miss. We have had some rude service, one server who literally forgot to put in our our and lied to us after we waited there an hour. Most servers are friendly but tad slow. Over all we will be back. Nicks may not rival new haven but it's the best in boca.

ANOTHER great meal accompanied by fantastic service all the way around. We decided to eat again at Nicks New Haven on a friday night in Boca which we know will be a busy night...and it WAS! the restaurant was jammed! Megan the hostess(tall and had a beautiful smile) seated us for a short while at the bar with bartendress Jen who was friendly and a great bartender (see her if you decide to eat or just have a cocktail...shes the best!) We weren't there more than 10 minutes when our favorite waiter Ryan came and got us(we requested him after the first visit we had him as our waiter). It was great to see him again and he was as natural and nice as could be...such a great guy...ALWAYS ask to sit with Ryan...hes the best! We had the artichoke and arugula salad which was DELICIOUS and then had the prosciutto and provolone flat bread pizza...it was amazing! We will be back and thank you to Sara who booked my reservation!

I grew up in Waterbury CT great pizza - crappy town. Went to Frank Pepe's in NH often. This is good pizza. Had a medium with black olives and mushrooms. I thought they made a mistake and brought a large. Table service was fantastic. I hate having to ask for water refill or if I want another glass of wine and I never did. My only complaint was that the lettuce in the house salad looked a little old. A single salad split for two was more than ample. It was Sunday night and perhaps they don't get fresh on Sunday. I can't comment on other menu items as we were only interested in a salad and pizza. We'll be back.

We were at Nick's for dinner on 3/15/14. We waited about 20-30 minutes for a table which we is about how long we were quoted by the hostess. Had a couple of mojitos at the bar. Crowded, festive atmosphere. All staff and guests were very friendly. We chatted with a few people while at the bar as well as at our table. We ordered the arugula salad and a medium pizza (16 inch) with meatballs and hot cherry peppers. Salad - Generous portion, very fresh greens and not too heavily dressed. Pizza - Perfect New Haven Style! Charred edges and blister bubbles. Very thin crust, savory sauce, high quality cheese. Meatballs broken and spread across pie with sliced hot cherry peppers. We savored every bite. It was so good!

Very good pizzeria in Boca Raton if you like the slightly burnt coal fired pies. This place is packed on the weekends and for a good reason - they offer great pizza for a great price. The ambiance and bar are huge bonuses here and it is a great place for lunch or dinner. The pizza is thin styled that is hand made by a team of chefs using the coal fired grill in plain sight. They serve it on a huge aluminum plate and the sizes are generous. Two people will have a hard time finishing a medium pie and forget about finishing a large one. The pizza is very good, but, NOT as good as Anthony's Coal fired pizza yelp.com/biz/anthonys-co… (my current favorite pizza on the planet) however the prices are MUCH lower than Anthony's. Thus, this place is a fantastic alternative and is great for families. I 100% recommend this place and will return again.

Ordered a medium pepperoni pizza, it was outstanding. The crust was just the right thickness and perfectly crispy at the edges. The quality of the ingredients and extra touch of flavor added by the coal fired oven really set this pie apart. The most pleasant surprise was Courtney the Friday day bartender. She is an absolute delight! She possesses the perfect balance of a charming personality and exceptional bartending skill. If you are a pizza fan (or a tasty cocktail) Nicks should be on your list!
My new favorite hang out for a healthy lunch, like the amazing house salad with roasted chicken breast and lemon vinaigrette dressing . The bartender is always on top of your drink orders and they make you feel like you're family. You should also try the Calamari salad and some of the appetizers, like the risotto balls or the yummy grinders! You can't go wrong, especially on Mojito Monday or Margarita Thursday ;)

While everything else in Boca Raton closes early, this place was still open at 11 pm last night when we were looking for something to eat. We ordered a bunch of appetizer and a huge pizza pie. The service was friendly , the food was good. When we left it was after midnight and the bar was still crowded. Cool place to hang out when everything else around closes soooooooo early!!

I must say the pizza is good but the way they treat you at the restaurant makes you want to up and leave. Came in with reservations as a group of 9 guys( Guys night out). Two guys wanted to get happy hour as we were seated right next to the bar, the manager said we could not get the happy hour because we had to be at the bar only poor start. Next the waiter says give me your order so I can get in as it takes 25 minutes to get pizza if busy. We order 2 salads to share and then another 2 as it was not enough needless to say the salads come out with the pizza after I told the waiter not to put in until we finished our salads. Again I mentioned pizza is very good but the treatment is sub par so guys night out will delete this place from our selections.
A higher end pizza joint where drinks run about $10. We came in for some cocktails while finishing some basketball games. The bartenders are really cute, friendly, and outgoing. They definitely made the experience for us. We didn't eat here but heard compliments from everyone around us. Pizzas looked amazing... Thin, crispy, and LARGE! It's a cool place but overpriced drinks. Come on, you're a pizza joint, in Boca, in a strip mall.

I saw a great write up for this restaurant in one of the local magazines, and as a Pizza lover could't wait to try it. It was by far the worst pizza we have eaten anywhere!!! It was dry and overdone and when we complained to the waiter he said this was the way they made it, we should have specified underdone! I've had coal fired Pizza in other places many times, but never burnt to a crisp. I still think the cheese is supposed to be runny, this was like crispy toast!

Snowbirds .... please read through this entire review ... We used to love Nick's, really loved it. Last night we went to Nick's with our usual party of eight people. We had a 25 minute wait but it was, after all, a Saturday night. No problem. We had a few over-priced, under-poured drinks at the bar and waited for our table. Once seated, we asked the waiter for four separate checks right from the get-go. We generally do this when we go out because, well, some of us enjoy a cocktail or two while a few of the others limit themselves to soda or water. The server said he would separate the checks at the end. he said it is easier. Well, it seemed easier to do this at the beginning and be done with it but who am I to tell him how to run his tables. We ordered drinks, then appetizers and entrees. My husband and I ordered the Fried Calamari but instructed the server to separate the fried vegetables that are a part of the oevrall dish from the calamari as we had a guest at the table who is an Ultra-Vegan. The server said it would be no problem. Other appetizers were ordered as well. We then ordered entrees. My husband and I wanted to share the Linguini and Clams and a Sausage Pizza. We asked that the pasta be split in the kitchen as it is pretty messy to do this at the table. The server said it would be no problem. The Fried Calamari arrived, all in one plate, with the fried vegetables that accompany the appetizer, exactly the OPPOSITE of what I requested. The server said the cook didn't want to separate the appetizer into two dishes. Well, the cook is not the Ultra-Vegan who is contributing toward paying for this meal. The cook is not the Ultra-Vegan who now has to pass on one of the appetizers purchased for this table. And the cook is not the person who makes the decisions regarding the way we want our appetizer served. Now, think back ... we also asked for our linguini to be split in the kitchen. Think back ... the server said it would not be a problem. Think again ... and this is for all of the SNOWBIRDS ... the pasta arrived in one dish. I asked the server about the request for the pasta to be split. He said, in no uncertain terms, "The cook will not split entrees in the kitchen because he does not want to set the tone for the snowbirds to think they can share entrees." What? Set the tone? I believe the tone has been set ... Okay, so we ate out of the same pasta bowl. But wait, I did say we ordered a pizza, correct? Ah, yes, we ordered that sausage pizza. Unfortunately, the server had to bring us some more news from Hell's Kitchen. The cook burned the pizza. So, we waited and waited and waited ... it arrived to look similar to what burned toast looks like after it has been scraped with a butter knife. Whatever ... Now it is check time ... remember those separate checks I asked for and the server responded with an enthusiastic, "It's easier to do it at the end!" comment? Well, it seems that it was not so easy to do it at the end. Therefore, everyone was charged for everyone elses food and drinks. In fact, one of our dining buddies insisted that he only had two glasses of wine, not the three he was being charged for. "No problem", states the server. That glass of wine in question found it's way on our check. Imagine that ... checks and balances! If one party refuses to pay, the charge will be moved to another party ... no problem! Well, in that same way, when one pizza place does not want to provide good service, the party moves to the next pizza place. Over-priced and over-rated after all, a dime a dozen in South Florida.

You can tell a bunch of Boca snobs have been ruling these ratings. Here is the truth: The people that work here are average, run of the mill restaurant workers, most of them are in college or just out of rehab. Let's all cut them a break if they aren't at your every beck and call, memorizing the 50 different customizations you added to your 1 entree you plan to split with your annoying husband. If you want a server that will take your abuse like your illegal house maid, please dine at home or plan to go somewhere more upscale. This is pizza and sandwiches, both of which you eat with your hands, in a strip mall thats shared with a Hooters. Lets keep it in perspective. Also, this pizza dough is made with water that comes from a Florida tap. That is the difference between pizza from up north and down here. There is no pipeline that brings NY tap water down here to make a better tasting crust. If you have a problem, then wait until the summer time when youre back home to eat pizza. That being said, I've been here five or six times and occasionally the service is a little slow, but most of the time it's not. The pizza is really really good. The crust is super crispy and a little burnt which I happen to like, but to be fair they do warn you (much like Anthony's coal fired pizza) that the crust will be this way, so dont forget your reading glasses when you come so you can make sure to read that. The calamari is always good Ive ordered it almost every time, the house salad has garbanzo beans which I find unique and delicious, and the Caesar salad is also to die for, with lots of anchovies and flavor. The fried mozzarella is also delicious and I especially like the sauce it comes with. I've had mainly pizza when I come here, since it IS a pizza joint, though I've tried the steak sandwich and it was amazing. Most importantly if you care at all about public health or food safety (which you should if you're a typical Boca oldie or you have young grandchildren with you) these people keep their Parmesan cheese refrigerated until you ask for it, and the lids are plastic, not metal. THIS IS HUGE. I eat pizza all over Boca, Miami, and northern NJ and most places leave their metal capped cheese out on the tables at room temperature or even in outdoor dining areas. Gross. All in all 4 stars for food and the 5th for good sanitary practice and putting up with all the BS the snowbirds bring!

Had dinner there last night with a party of 7 (including 3 children). Food was great, service was amazing, and it was a nice touch that the manager Don came by to make sure that the whole group, and the kids, were enjoying dinner.

OK...so I have never been to Mystic or New Haven and I have no idea what a real pizza from there should taste like. That said: I really liked Nick's. Back in the day when I ate seafood, I tried their pizza with oysters and it was delightful. Great crust, perfectly charred, and tasty different with the clams. Super great place for the family...super SUPER casual and friendly. They were slammed many nights that we ate there, but everything all was timed wonderfully. Highly recommended.

From the snot-nosed teen hostess who couldn't manage a smile when we first walked in the door to the chaotic wait staff and managers who looked just a miserable to be working there, this was a disaster only made worse by the sight and taste of their pizza. Though the menu said the Margherita pizza had "mootz" tomato and basil - their version of a Margherita was comparable to a cheese pizza with sprinkles of dried basil and no slices of tomato. The crust was well done, which we'd expect from a 750-degree brick oven, but we couldn't understand the flimsy, soggy rest of the slice that left a puddle of grease on our plates. We're still not sure where all that grease came from. Aside from the horrible pizza, we were stuck ordering the $9 house salad (lettuce, chick peas, two olives, two slices of cucumber and a few grape tomatoes) because there is no small side salad. We also tried the crispy polenta with marinated mushrooms (they were the size of peas, had no taste and were covered with mixed greens) red onions (none) capers (none) and roasted tomato vinaigrette. It was not crispy and it had no flavor whatsoever. We also had to ask our server for bread, which turned out to be a mistake, because it was obviously store bought and not very fresh. Nick should consider taking his pizza back to New Haven. We'll stick to Jack's New York style pizza in Delray.

Food is poor. My family and I went in and had to wait to be greeted. There was no host/hostess. We ordered appetizers and a large pizza, pasta entree and dessert. The pizza was soggy and pasta overly salty. Our server was attentive (seemed to be the only one actually working) but there were 5 other servers standing around right behind us talking about their personal lives while we tried to eat. They all were clueless and and completely lacked customer service. Especially for what they charge ($35 for a pizza), I will not be going back.

After eating here, I'm still don't know what "New Haven style" pizza is... The pizza was nothing spectacular. We ordered a pie with ricotta and eggplant, but the toppings, the eggplant especially, were pretty non existent. Service was suuuuper slow. It took forever to clear off a table we were promised and spent more time waiting for our server to come over for our orders. They are very, very busy on the weekend, so make a reservation if you can. The ambience was ok I guess, pretty bustling, with a bar that extends outside.

I've had pizza in Chicago, New York and all through the Midwest and unfortunately, this style of pizza is just not for me. I would not go back for the pizza. The service was nothing to rave about either. I felt as though the waiter was a little unhappy that we had come in 30 min prior to closing - no energy, no suggestions, and minimal check-in's - I think he checked in with us one time while we ate. I could have used another drink or water before we left...

Took a bit to take our order. We ordered a couple of beers. Our apps came before our beers. No silverware or plates to eat our apps. The HOSTESS had to bring us plates and silverware. Our waiter finally arrived and didn't remember what beers we ordered. When we finished eating our apps the empty plates sat in front of us for 10 minutes. 2 of the 4 orders arrived and they still didn't take our plates just pushed them aside. The other two orders arrived about 6-8 minutes later. When the order came two people at my table ordered another beer and soda. The beer came but the soda never did. The server never came back to check on our food. When he finally returned we told him we still needed a soda and he asked if there was anything else we needed - there were 4 empty water glasses sitting at the table. The pizza was pretty good. I ordered a small (12") pepperoni and it seemed more like a 14". Everyone at the table was saying "that's a small?" and I could hear people at other tables around me say the same thing when their order came. You could easily share the small pizza with someone after a salad or appetizer. I really liked the crust and my pepperonis where nice and crispy on the edges. I had the risotto balls, good but kinda bland. meh. two people ordered pizza "flats" and thought they were "OK". If you come here, maybe sit at the bar or order to-go. The food is decent, a little pricey but the service is HORRIBLE. Overall I rated it a 2 star dining experience, and only that because i really enjoyed my pizza. But the food is only part of the total experience and when the topic of conversation at the table is the poor service, then something is really wrong.

I tried Nicks the first time with a friend about a month ago, and was impressed that I decided to have my sons college graduation dinner there. The pizza is out of this world! I would prefer to let you experience it to come up with a description. The service is also excellent. The manager that helped me formulate the graduation dinner is named "justin" and was very helpful...even gave us a free sampling of all their desserts in case we wanted to order such. (for cost efficiency, we opted to bring in an outside cake from Josephs gourmet market, which Nicks staff will slice and serve for us for a $15 dollar fee, still well worth it)

I've never had New Haven style pizza, so I can't grade it based on how "authentic" it is. But as far as pizzas go, this one is below average. I was a little disappointed that the crust was so soggy and floppy coming from a brick oven that heats up to over 750°. As expected, the edges were bunt black, but just inside the burnt edges, the crust was chewy and tough. Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza is (used to be? Haven't been there in a while) much better. If this is New Haven style pizza, then it's safe to say I don't like New Haven style pizza. The risotto balls are gummy. Their salads are pretty good (I like the apple gorgonzola salad) an the service is just OK. The hot grinders are good. The oven makes a difference; but the cold grinders are just OK.
(3)
Kristiana W.
The grinder was larger than expected, the pizza was good and the decor was nicer than expected as well. Would visit again for sure, the only complaint is they don't tell you the happy hour specials are bar only until after you're seated... so if you're going for happy hour sit at the bar otherwise enjoy!

Just not that impressed. It looks very cool inside. I'll definitely say the appeal is there. It's in a rebounding strip center and located near some very popular lunch spots. But what do we care about? The food. I gave this a shot and have heard mixed reviews prior to going, but I always promise myself to give things a fair shot, so I did. The pizza was rather soggy and the center of the pie was pretty flimsy. Not a good sign, especially for any coal fire place. The truth is, It wasn't even the best pizza I ate that week. I can't speak on the other options there, but this is mainly a Pizzeria so I doubt I'll be returning. There are better options just within a 5 mile radius. This is your typical one and done restaurant. You try it once and then you're ready to move on, or in my case go back to places like Tucci's, Anthonys, Pizza Time or Ninos.

Once again this place is horrible, the pizza is totally burnt and nothing like New Haven style pizza which is NOT burnt such as Peppys in New Haven. This place is horrible don't go. I tried this place now four times and all four were horrible it's not hit or miss just miss... I'm 100 percent Italian from the same New Haven area and this is a poor excuse for pizza down here... Also you're too cheap to turn on the AC you always have the doors open and all the furniture in your place is stinky and sticky.

Placed a carry out order. Told to pick up at bar. Bartender said she would check and then left me standing I acknowledged for about 10 minutes. Staff in general seemed flighty except for the 2nd bar tender. Finally I got a manager to find my pizza, but he wasn't all that useful either. Received pizza about 15 minutes later. Took it home and it was amazing. Will go back and just accept mediocre service cuz the pie was great!

The pizza is fine, but, and it's a big but... they don't have their act together yet. I ordered two pies to go. One: their flatbread (basically the very thinnest of crusts) pizza topped with clams. Two: a 12" white pizza I had ordered with ricotta and mootz. 15 minutes later, a server brings me a plain, regular pizza. I open the lid, to check. Nope. Red sauce (thank goodness I even looked). Hey, people make mistakes. BUT they also didn't cook up my flatbread yet - didn't quite get that order. I had to show them my receipt as proof. One would think, at their mistake, they'd simply give me the extra pie, or charge me nothing. I had to wait for a half hour sitting there, and when they finally did arrive with my flatbread (which was fine, needed more lemon), they still got the white pizza wrong. NO RICOTTA at all. So, my advice is for management to step up and take care of customers. And to diners, be very very specific in your order (then check it).

Love it!! Love it!!! My girlfriends and I had our girls night here and we all ordered different items off the menu and enjoyed sharing! They had music which was nice and the calamari was absolutely delicious!! We ended up getting a tiramisu for dessert to split (as we are girls and all watch our weight :) ) We each should have ordered our own it was fresh, sweet, and to die for!! I will be going back to Nick's with my boyfriend so he can try the place out!

I've been to Nick's twice and both times had their delicious pizza (pepperoni & mushrooms... yuuummmm). It's a shame I live in Hollywood, otherwise I'd be there all the time. I love coal fired pizza and unlike Anthony's, they don't burn the damn thing and then attempt to convince you it's "well-done". Whatever. Burned is burned. The staff has been great both times and we've had no complaints. I will definitely stop in again the next time I'm in the area.

Food is great but try to stick to the menu... Salad with dressing on the side always comes on it... We've been there a few times now and it is always the case...If you get the white clam Pizza be aware that it is the most expensive... Medium pizza with half margarita $45.... Staff is very nice and welcoming.

I am not sure what New Haven style pizza really is because I have never been there, but the pizza here is good and so are their hot sandwiches. Haven't tried their pastas or their salads but really enjoyed their specialty white pizza. You can watch them cook the pizza while you wait. Nice outdoor seating if desired. Overall a nice place but I never get the "man I really want to eat at nicks tonight" feeling, if you know what I mean.

Very nice looking establishment. Adam was a great server, we enjoy the clam pizza.

One night my buddy and i were at five guys's having a quick lunch, and we saw something next door going on. I went to investigate, and I had noticed it was a pizza spot's grand opening. Took note on the interior and thought i'd give it a try. I've been there 3 times by now, and yesterday was the 3rd time. From being there on the off nights and being there on the on night's i've seen there service go from packed and stressed workers, to slow and on point servers. It usually varies on how many tables are filled. Anyway aside from the service I have yet to have a issue with the pizza. It's deff a solid 3.5 stars - 4 star pizza spot for SOUTH FLORIDA. I'm not comparing this to NYC pizza. I don't mind it, and the pan fried Mozzarella is different with the red onion balsamic dressing salad with it. I really enjoyed it. The parmesan fries are more of parmesan chips, but still enjoyable. I'd say given the night this place could score 4 stars, but to be honest, it's a solid 3.5 all around. I would return for some unheathly eats

as a new englander, i'm very picky about what foods constitute a fantastic dish. yes, almost all pizza (and italian food in general) is good, but hardly great. This place has topped my list of favorites holding the #2 spot for the best pizza I've ever had. Perfectly done, perfectly thin and cheese with fantastic flavor. it can't possibly get any better than Nicks in the state of florida. Heck, or even the entire south.

Nicks is a nice place to grab lunch or a casual dinner. The restaurant is very nice with an open kitchen and large booths. Had a clam chowder soup and artichoke salad which were very good. The pizza and grinders were also very good. The service was excellent and prices are very reasonable. I would go back.

For all who have heard of Pepe's of New Haven. Pepe's is the gold standard of pizza whether you like thin crust or not. Save a trip up north and eat at Nick's. The apizza here is identical in every way---- crisp chewy charred dough, sausage actually from New Haven CT, same tomato sauce, mozzarella, etc....

Horrible experience so far. Completely disregarded the reservation time they gave us. Service is horrible. Its very hot and noisy. Id rate the.food but weve been sitting for 45 minutes and havent seen even the salads yet.

I really like Nick's. The salads we had at lunch were really some of the best I have had in a very long time. The pizza was great. I rate it up there with Tucci's but not quite as good. Nick's wins for salads though. I am looking forward to going back and trying some of their other pizzas. I understand what people have said about the staff being a little iffy. Our waiter was cold as ice but opened up after I asked him about how business was going. They seem to be doing quite well. Hopefully this place will be around for a while.

I originally hail from the New Haven area and was munching on the world famous Frank Pepe's ever since I was in a high chair, so I know good pizza when I see it. Nick's is the same brick oven style that I love. I ordered a large pepperoni and it was excellent. Cooked perfectly, and it had a very balanced taste between the sauce and cheese. That's the problem with other places, either the sauce is bland or they put too much cheese on it. The interior of Nick's is really nice too, makes me a little home sick. Overall, Nick's pizza will give Anthony's a run for his money. Give that brick oven some time to season and the staff some time to learn the tricks of the oven and the pizza will be even better. For being open a day when I went, the pizza was excellent. I highly recommend Nick's and will definitely be going back.

Great pizza ! Service was subpar and they we're slow. Will go back back step up the service, you're better then that.

Delicious, affordable and great service. Try and avoid the busiest times, from about 6p-7:30, as the service can be very slow and the pizza ovens can get very backed up.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Came to eat here on a ride back from north lauderdale and we weren't really dressed to have anything nicer plus we had the kids and needed something affordable that we knew they would eat and enjoy- so why not pizza right? RIGHT! Now I have to admit I come from a family of pizzeria owners and restraint owners so I know good Brooklyn style pizza.... This definitely was not Brooklyn style but nor do they claim to be, so with that said the kids are flats plain cheese 12" pies and they were cooked well like promised and they were delicious for a simple flat bread pizza .... Slightly salty but never the less good. My fiancé ordered a chicken Parmesan grinder which was also tasty. I don't particularly eat red sauce anywhere or from anyone other than family so I would never order it out. But he says it was good. I started with a 3 topping bruschetta eggplant, sopressata, and pecorino Romano cheese..... PHENOMENAL!!! That's all I can say! Then for my entree I had the grilled calamari salad..... It was PERFECT! I mean honestly by far the best salad I have had in a while. I could have just kept eating. The calamari was perfectly sautéed so it wasn't over cooked and chewy now was it under cooked and slimy! The arugula was firm and green, not dead or old- and there was ample dressing! Definitely recommend the salad and will be returning for sure!

Who? What?

(4)James K.
(1)Andrea J.
(3)Rah C.
(3)Michael M.
By far, the best pizza around. In fact, everything on their menu is delicious. The staff is always friendly and the drinks are well priced. There can be a bit of a wait, but it's worth it. The pizzas are huge, and the steak sandwich is amazing!
(5)Mike F.

Will be back
(5)Mike C.
I live outside of New Haven CT, so I know all about New Haven pizza.... This place is very close to Modern Pizza, which means...it's fantastic! Super thin crust, charcoaled flavor. Great friendly service too...
(5)Franny A.
(4)Rob S.
(3)Alex G.
Excellent pizza have to try the white clam. A small pizza can feed two or maybe three depending on how hungry you are. It does get busy but they have a great inside/outside bar to have a drink while you wait.
(5)Les G.

(3)Jason G.
I didn't care for the crust or the topping options. just not my style.
(2)Bonnie E.

(4)Crystal L.
(1)Michelle S.
Decent pizza, just a bit burnt on the crust. I guess it's the style, but it tasted good. The server was ok. Nice dining area inside. The pizza was pricey. $21 for large pizza.
(4)Cass R.
(3)paul p.
(2)Cindy B.
Best clam pizza on the planet! Never thought I would eat a pizza with Clams on it but it was shockingly delicious! Great wine list and fun place for friends! Love this place! Yum!
(5)Candice P.
Nick's is one of my favorite spots to eat in Boca. The food is always spot on. Whether you want a healthy salad, amazing pizza, or pasta entree there is a tasty option. The food never disappoints, I go here with girlfriends almost every week for dinner.
(5)Rich S.
(5)narisa s.
Unbelievable. Best pizza ever. "The craig" is by far the most tasty and fresh pizza I have had in the state. I love the pasta and I love the service.

(5)Robert H.
(4)Nicole W.
Went here last night.... Pizza was HUGE (Large) thin crust and delicious with toppings. The manager Ryan came over to make sure we our food came out correctly and introduced himself. I came here to visit from New York and I was blown away with our waiter and the manager. The place is very clean. Right on!
(5)Brian R.
Came in on a Sunday afternoon. Nice thin crust pizza. Sausage and olives were top grade and the service was excellent. Recovering two stars!
(5)Steve S.
Order your pizza "well done" it's amazing. Every time we come, we get some type of meat pizza: they are always great.
(4)Dawn C.
(5)Roger R.
(3)Joyce B.
Lively, pub style atmosphere with delicious food and pizza. We had excellent service (thank you suzie).
(4)Nuria U.
Nicks food is the best and Nicky, the bartender too! She's such a sweetheart. I recommend this place to everyone.
(5)Mrs T.
service with a smile or attitude? yes, all of the above. I have eaten at both boca and coral springs and both places burn the bottom of the pizza. but you'll get a snide reply that 'they don't consider the pizza burnt' if you complain. thank you nicks!!!! maybe your ovens are too hot because the pies tasted like burnt pizza, they were burnt, and your wait staff's tone is burnt out. buh-bye
(2)Vicky G.
(5)Dave H.
I've heard good things about this place, but mid afternoon is apparently the wrong time to come here. Soggy pizza, cold meatball and dissapeaing server.
(2)Falon V.
Enjoy!
(4)Ela L.
Good job!
(3)Jim C.
Have a great time here tonight. Great drinks, great appetizers. The fried risotto appetizer was cooked perfectly. Really hit the spot. Drinks are a little bit pricey, but certainly worth it.

(4)Angel V.

Paul K

Bad food...worse service! To top it off the management is stupid. A tri-fecta a shit! Nicks pizza... a pizza crap
(1)Jeremy F.
(1)John N.
This is thin crust pizza at its' best. There is a great selection of pizzas or you can create your own. Prices are reasonable. Service is fair - be prepared to wait for a server to attend to your table. It's a bit noisy, but that's part of the ambiance.
(4)John S.

Tried the white clam, bacon and garlic pizza tonight and it was out of this world.

(4)Dakota C.
Horrible, sat at the bar and watched guy next to me who ordered at the same time, almost finish, and my to go pizza wasn't ready.. Thank God I had enough and left. You should never go to a place with horrible service, after all it costs to eat out, inexcusable
(1)Andrew Z.
(4)Richard R.
Overpriced and mediocre.....Tried the calamari. Absolutely the worst I've had. Tasteless and poorly breaded. The customer in the next booth had pizza that was so burned that they called the manager over.
(2)Jeff W.
Asked for a lightly cooked pizza and it was completely black on the bottom and tasted like burnt ashes. Yuck!
(2)Tara J.
(4)Tara L.
Recently ordered take out from them- late, cold, burnt. Gave them a second chance and I totally regret it. Staff & manager are rude as well. Won't last long.
(1)Shelly T.

(3)Barry R.
(5)Paul L.
The food is always on point. Pizza is the best I've had in Florida and you can't beat Foxon Park sodas. Fast friendly service from a very knowledgable staff. Don't wait... Go eat there now!!
(5)Stephen T.
This place is the best in Florida. It is as good or better then Pepe's/Sallys or my favorite New Haven CT pizza. Modern Pizza. GO for it. The other dishes look great as well.
(5)Anthony P.

(3)Michael F.
Great service always a busy place food is pretty good. Floor manager Donald was a really cool guy took good care of us and my server Samantha knows her stuff and fast.
(5)Amanda D.

(5)M M.

(4)Christian J.
(4)Vicki O.
By far my favorite pizza spot! My boyfriend and I frequent Nick's at least once a week. Very laid back, fun atmosphere....I love the music and the décor. The employees are friendly and always happy to see you! I love that they're open for lunch and also open pretty late night also. You have to try the white clam pizza and the rigatoni Bolognese, two of my faves!
(5)Sylvia A.
(5)Monica B.
(4)Danielle C.
OMG..... The food was amazing, the service was great could not have asked for a better dining experience.... Being a true Italian I know good pizza and Italian food and this place is truly amazing... This was my first visit but I will definitely be a regular at this place.... It is a must go!!!!
(5)Jeff F.
(2)Rob M.
Happy hour is great!!! Mojito Mondays with Nicki are amazing she makes an amazing Mojito and some really creative and tasty flavored ones!!! I really enjoyed the fried mozzarella they add pickled onions, sautéed mushrooms, arugula, cherry tomatoes, and capers tth brighten up what normally is a heavy and greasy fried dish!!!! $5 Mojitos all day on Monday and $5 Bar Apps including that delicious fried Mozzarella dish!!!
(5)Kristine N.
(3)Lea K.

Easily the best Pizza in S Florida. Great salads too.

(1)James M.

(3)Kate K.
Delicious, affordable and great service. Try and avoid the busiest times, from about 6p-7:30, as the service can be very slow and the pizza ovens can get very backed up.
